We are so attentive in this delusionary world that we do not realize the high opinion of performing such a important and holy journey. We do not know that Allah taa'la has bless us to be here so we have to make the most of this lifetime chance in becoming nearer to Allah taa'la. A pilgrim should keep several things in minds while performing Hajj or Umrah. The first thing is not to show impatience over any issue. Secondly, not to be thankless fairly one should do more and more shukar. And thirdly one should keep away from doing sins only then this trip will be accepted if we abstain ourselves of doing these acts.
Out of many ethics of Umrah or Hajj one important aspect of performing Umrah or Hajj is having a first glance at the Holy Kaabah and supplicating at that time. Many people are unaware of how to look at Kaabah for the first time and how to make dua then. Scholars have written that when a person looks at the Kaabah for the first time, whatever dua he/she makes is accepted. Therefore, one should ask for those things at first glance which are helpful for both this world and deen. Ask of Allah from Allah. Ask for the achievement of this world and the world hereafter. Ask Allah taa'la for honour and prestige of both worlds.
Once someone asked Imam Abu Hanifa (R.A), a great Islamic jurist, 'what should a person ask while looking at the Kaabah at the first glance?' He replied, 'ask, Oh Allah! Please admit all my pray from now on'.
First vision is very out of the ordinary. Even when we look at someone for the first time we keep away from asking anything instead we just keep on looking at that person. equally, when we look at Kaabah for the first time we should keep in mind about that this time is a time of recognition. But one should not put out of your mind to show reverence for this holy glance. We should lower down our gaze until we reach Mataf. Then we should slowly lift our eyes and look at the Beloved's House. We should make as many pray as we can. It can be seen in this world that all worldly Kings no matter how munificent they are they will stop granting others at a convinced point. Their monetary wealth and budget is limited. But Allah taa'la is a King who gives and gives without putting an end to His kindness. For instance if a pin sinks into the deep and once it comes out of the water there will be hardly any or no effect on the ocean. Likewise, Allah's blessings and bounties are countless and there will be not even a single drop like effect in His oceans of blessings even if He grants the entire humanity.
So, we need to make pray with humility and sincerity. Making pray and reading a dua are two different things. Only a pray, coming out of the heart will be traditional. Therefore, one must take advantage of this intimacy with Allah taal'a and should ask for everything one desires.
